Atomicat Records’ seasonal albums take a different musical direction during Hillbilly Devils and Demons (ACCD125). The twenty-eight-song Halloween-inspired horror saga includes ghostly titles but additionally focuses on the demons of the hillbilly lifestyle.
The rural rocker’s verses include journeys on the ghost trains and apparitions, however, the album is about the human lifestyle. The destructive demonic devil within us, alcohol and narcotics, alongside the devil known as love. These are the real demons of the country folk! The album includes carefully selected hillbilly titles from the years 1949 through to 1963, which can be danced to at a hillbilly hoedown, or enjoyed at home while drinking the devils’ brew!
